About me

My art studies began at a very early age in Shanghai, China, and included a wide range of art media and methods: Chinese Calligraphy and Brush painting as well as Western Oil Painting, both Landscape and Portraiture, and Contemporary Arts. I received a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. My works have been exhibited in many locations: for example, the Clinton Presidential Library ("Visualize a Bright Future", Private Collection); World Expo in Shanghai 2010; the Jade Circle Demonstration at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco; the Art Museum in Cleveland (Private Collection) “The Garden of Allah" in Hollywood (Private Collection); the China Art Museum in Beijing; and the Shanghai Art Museum.  My Calligraphy and Painting have also been represented in exhibitions in Japan,Taiwan and Europe, as well as in solo art exhibitions including UC Berkeley Extension: Oil Portraiture and Landscape/Chinese Calligraphy and Brush Painting; and the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery, SF: Oil Portraiture. Both PBS and CNN have created documentaries featuring my art.
